After leaving the ground tour we went to see where Bolton Wanderers played from 1895 until 1997.It is now a retail park with a large Asda store situated at one end.Inside this store above the checkouts are photographs and a plaque on the history of Bolton Wanderers.I guess this was another first.I have never had pictures taken in an ASDA supermarket before !
Quite ironic this one , firstly the programme pic as my first visit to Burnden Park was to see the Trotters against Charlton in 1965 . Secondly my step-father was at the game against Stoke in 1946 having just de-mobbed from the army .
