TEAM:Stocksbridge Park Steels
GROUND:Bracken Moor
FIRST VISIT:24th March 2008
My first visit to Stocksbridge Park Steels, Bracken Moor ground for their derby fixture v Sheffield FC in the Unibond Division One.A great little set up this club has and a very nice little ground. It was a cold day with snow at some points. You could really feel it today as the ground is set high up on the moors. However an excellent attendance of 512 (the highest of the season) was acheived. The game was very entertaining with Stocksbridge winning 4-1, there was a hat trick as well as 3 penalties in the game (Stocksbridge scored both / Sheffield missed). Stocksbridge also had a goal disallowed. The Stocksbridge fans sang throughout…mainly to point out that Sheffield FC are actually from Derbyshire. A good day though and I was given a free scarf too..Up the Steels
