On 22nd – 24th August 2014 I went to Bramham Park for Leeds Festival. It was my first ever visit to a music festival and a truly unforgettable experience. With star-studded line up that included headliners of ‘blink-182’, ‘Queens of the Stone Age’, ‘Paramore’ and the biggest band in the world right now – ‘Arctic Monkeys’, it was certain to be an amazing few days of music and it did not disappoint.
Friday 22nd August
There was a huge buzz on anticipation at Bramham Park as the long wait was finally over. The opening day in Leeds saw pop-punk legends ‘Blink-182’ headline the main stage, while a star-studded line up saw the likes of ‘Papa Roach’, ‘A Day To Remember’, ‘You Me At Six’ and even hip-hop duo ‘Macklemore & Ryan  Lewis’ – an unusual addition to the traditionally rock festival, all thrill the huge crowds on a beautiful sunny day in  Yorkshire.

Saturday 23rd August
The second day of Leeds Festival 2014 had a lot to live up to after an unforgettable opening. But with double headliners in the form of ‘Queens of the Stone Age’ and ‘Paramore’, accompanied by a star-studded main stage line up that included ‘Jimmy Eat World’, ‘Enter Shikari’ and ‘Vampire Weekend’, there was no doubt that this Saturday had something for everybody and would be another day to live long in the memory.

Sunday 24th August
It was the final day of the festival but for many, the best was yet to come. Arctic Monkeys returned to their home county of Yorkshire today to bring the festival to it’s conclusion. Alex Turner and co. were arguably the biggest band in the world at this moment following the release of ‘AM’ in 2013 and their announcement as headliners was the reason that many had bought their tickets. Alongside the likes of Jake Bugg, Imagine Dragons and Foster The People – Sunday at Leeds may have been the last, but it certainly wasn’t the least.
