Y Not Festival 2016
Y Not Festival returned for its eleventh year with a bigger and better line-up than ever before with the likes of Noel Gallagher, Madness, Catfish and the Bottlemen and hundreds more heading to Derbyshire for the three-day event between 29th and 31st July.

Tramlines Festival 2016
Tramlines Festival returned to Sheffield for an eighth year with it’s biggest line-up ever, featuring the likes of Catfish and The Bottlemen, Dizzee Rascal, The Dandy Warhols, Public Service Broadcasting and DJ Steve Davis among the hundreds of artists performing over the three-day event between 22nd and 24th July.
Attending for a third year, and for the first time ever with a press entry, I watched a total of 17 acts perform during the event across multiple locations – from the Ponderosa’s main stage to O2 Academy, and even the much smaller fringe venues that make the occasion so unique.
Reverend and The Makers – BBC Music Day, Sheffield
Jon McClure and Ed Cosens of Reverend & The Makers performed an acoustic set to a large crowd in the city’s Winter Gardens as part of the celebrations for BBC Music Day. Having performed at the Frog & Parrot pub earlier in the day, the duo headed to the gardens to ‘busk’ an hour long set that included covers and original tracks ‘Black Widow’ and ‘Open Your Window’ – twenty-four hours before the group headline Sheffield’s Mosborough Music Festival.

Slam Dunk Festival 2016 got underway in Leeds on Saturday, celebrating it’s 10th anniversary with an impressive line up that included the likes of The Story So Far, Mallory Knox and Young Guns as well as main stage headliner Panic! At The Disco.
