Rochdale

TEAM:Rochdale

GROUND:Spotland Stadium

FIRST VISIT:10th February 2008

FIRST MATCH:Rochdale 2-3 Chesterfield

Rochdale used to be the most unsuccessful club in English football history.Virtually their entire history has been spent with the club playing in the bottom division of the Football League, before they finally won promotion to League 1 in 2009/10. Still Spotland is a nice tidy little ground with nice seating areas. We arrived here on Sunday afternoon and the area was deserted apart from 3 people having a drink in the club bar.Still we managed to get in to get a few photographs.

Then on 14th November 2009 I visited once again, this time to watch Chesterfield win 3-2 at Spotland Stadium in a thrilling League 2 match which saw Rochdale come from 2-0 down to level at 2-2, before Perkins scored the winning goal for the Spireites.
