Rotherham United

TEAM:Rotherham United

GROUND:Don Valley Stadium

FIRST VISIT:19th July 2008

FIRST MATCH:Rotherham United 0-0 Derby County

On 19th July 2008 we decided to go along to see Rotherham United’s first ever match at their “New” ground Don Valley Stadium against Derby. After spending 101 years at Millmoor the club has finally left and for the time being will play in Sheffield. It was a nice sunny but cool day and the match was rather dull, it ended 0-0. Still it was an historic day for the club and I was pleased to be there.

Then on Saturday 25th September 2010 I went back to Don Valley to watch Chesterfield lose 1-0 to Rotherham with the only goal coming from Adam Le Fondre handing Chesterfied their first defeat of the season.
