Sheffield Steelers managed to fend off a dramatic late comeback from Scottish opponents Fife Flyers to book their place in the Play-Off finals weekend in Nottingham with a 6-5 aggregate victory on Sunday 29th March 2015.

Drop Dead hosted a very special ‘secret party’ at Bungalows and Bears in Sheffield on Saturday 28th March 2015.
A heavyweight line-up of acts was headlined by local DJ ‘Toddla T’, whilst the likes of ‘Squarehead’, ‘Clubs & Spades’ and ‘Rev Austin’ were among the other performers.
A number of other big-names were also in attendance for the event on Sheffield’s Division Street. Three members of the band ‘Bring Me The Horizon’, who performed a sold-out show at Wembley Arena in December, were there including Oli Sykes, the frontman of the band and owner of the Drop Dead company.

Sam Hird’s late header gave Chesterfield an important victory over Walsall on Saturday 28th March 2015.
It was, in truth, a poor quality contest at the Proact Stadium, but Hird’s 86th minute winner was all that mattered for the Spireites as they moved to within two points of the play offs.

Chesterfield returned to winning ways on Tuesday 17th March 2015 with an impressive 3-0 victory against Gillingham.
The Spireites made sure that Saturday’s home defeat was quickly forgotten as they raced into a two-goal lead inside 12 minutes thanks to goals from Sam Clucas and Jay O’Shea.
And Clucas, who played the role of striker following Caolan Lavery’s return to Sheffield Wednesday, rounded off an excellent performance with a goal in 88th minute to keep the Derbyshire club’s play off dreams alive for another day.

Chesterfield took a major blow to their play off dreams with a 3-2 defeat to strugglers Coventry City on Saturday 14th March 2015.
Despite finding the net in either half courtesy of Jay O’Shea and late substitute Gboly Ariyibi, the Spireites fell to a third home defeat out of four as Marcus Tudgay, Sanmi Odelusi and Frank Nouble all scored for the Sky Blues in an entertaining encounter.
It was a day of firsts for Coventry, who picked up their first victory under experienced new manager Tony Mowbray on their first ever visit to the Proact Stadium.

Kodaline rocked Nottingham’s Rock City on the 9th March 2015 as part of the UK leg of a tour supporting the release of their second album ‘Coming Up For Air’ (more…)

Chesterfield ended a run of four consecutive defeats with an impressive performance to defeat Fleetwood Town 3-0 on Saturday 28th February 2015.
Goals from Caolan Lavery and Sam Hird gave the Spireites a commanding lead at half time.
Sam Morsy’s strike just after the hour mark then sealed the victory for the home side; who gave an excellent performance on the back of a poor run to keep their play off hopes alive.
