Alex Turner returned to his hometown of Sheffield in sensational fashion as he and Miles Kane, aka The Last Shadow Puppets, performed to a sold out steel city crowd at the City Hall on Sunday evening.
Supported by the explosive London trio ‘YAK’, ‘TLSP’ hit Sheffield with an early contender for the city’s gig of the year as they performed a ninety-minute set containing tracks such as ‘Bad Habits’, ‘Aviation’ and ‘Everything You’ve Come to Expect’ from their new release as well as classics from the duo’s 2008 debut album ‘The Age of The Understatement’, and even an impressive cover of The Beatles in ‘I Want You (She’s So Heavy).
