Chesterfield were comfortably beaten by Swindon Town at the Proact Stadium on Tuesday 28th October 2014.
The Robins provided one of the best attacking performances in recent memory as they ran out 3-0 winners on a rainy Tuesday night in North Derbyshire. Two goals in four first half minutes from Yaser Kasim and Nathan Byrne put Swindon well on their way to victory. And a third from Andy Williams in the 70th minute guaranteed that they travelled back down South with all three points.

A pearler from Jimmy Ryan opened the scoring before goals from Gary Roberts and Eoin Doyle gave the Spireites a commanding 3-0 lead. Both teams were reduced to ten men in the first half, Michael Higdon and Tommy Lee both receiving red cards, and it was a mistake by Lee’s replacement Myles Wright that saw Marc McNulty pull one back for the Blades. Neill Collins’ late goal made it a nervy ending but the home side managed to hang on to the win.

Chesterfield came from a goal down to earn a draw in a hotly contested match at the Proact Stadium against local opposition Notts County on Saturday 27th September.

Chesterfield continued their good start to the new season with an impressive 4-1 victory over Scunthorpe United at the Proact Stadium on Saturday 13th September.
