On 22nd – 24th August 2014 I went to Bramham Park for Leeds Festival. It was my first ever visit to a music festival and a truly unforgettable experience. With star-studded line up that included headliners of ‘blink-182’, ‘Queens of the Stone Age’, ‘Paramore’ and the biggest band in the world right now – ‘Arctic Monkeys’, it was certain to be an amazing few days of music and it did not disappoint.
On Tuesday 19th August 2014, I went to the Proact Stadium to watch Chesterfield play MK Dons in League 1.
On Saturday 16th August 2014, I went to the Proact Stadium to watch Chesterfield play Rochdale in League 2.
On Sunday 3rd August 2014 I went to the Cavern Club in Liverpool to see The Mersey Beatles perform the hits of The Beatles.
On Sunday 3rd August, I went to Goodison Park to watch Everton play Porto in a Pre-Season Friendly match.
On 29th July 2014, I went to Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris, France to visit the gravesite of Jim Morrison. My visit coincided with the 47th anniversary of The Doors reaching number one for the first ever time with their hit ‘Light My Fire’.
On 27th-31st July, I made my first ever visit to Paris. The French capital is a city I had always wanted to go to and this trip was an unforgettable experience!
Tramlines is a music festival that has been hosted in Sheffield annually since 2009. The event takes place across multiple venues around the city, including The Leadmill, Corporation, the main stage at Devonshire Green and many others. A former UK Festival award winner, July 22nd and 23rd of this year’s 3-day festival saw my first visit to my hometown’s biggest music event.
On Tuesday 15th July 2014, I went to the Coach and Horses Ground to watch Sheffield FC play Chesterfield in a Pre Season friendly.
On Monday 14th July 2014, I went to Sandygate to watch Hallam play Chesterfield in a Pre Season friendly.
